EVANGELINE PARISH – The Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshal (SFM) is investigating a fatal residential fire in Mamou that claimed the lives of two residents early Tuesday morning.
At approximately 3:32 a.m. on March 3, the Mamou Fire Department responded to a reported house fire in the 800 block of 5th Street. A 67-year-old man and a 63-year-old woman died as a result of the fire.
