The engagement of Miss Courtney Blaire Phillips, daughter of Mike Genin Dupre of Eunice and Cecil Phillips of Alexandria, to Mr. Joseph Kyle Lachney, the son of Larry and Sherron Lachney of Ville Platte, has been announced by their parents.
The couple will exchange wedding vows Friday, November 30, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Eunice.
Miss Phillips’ is the granddaughter of Henry and Joann Dupre of Eunice and Melba and the late Cecil Phillips of Alexandria.
Miss Phillips is a 2014 graduate of St. Edmund High School and a 2018 graduate of Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, where she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. She is continuing her education at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans to obtain a master’s degree in occupational therapy. She is currently employed as a dance instructor at Michelle’s Studio of Dance in Eunice.
Mr. Lachney is the grandson of the late Lola Laverne West of Pine Prairie and the late Lawrence “Lash” Lachney Sr. and the late Cloynise Lachney of Ville Platte.
Mr. Lachney is a 2013 graduate of Sacred Heart High School of Ville Platte and attended Louisiana State University Eunice and is currently employed at Team Industrial Services in Sulphur.
