St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Grand Coteau was the setting for a lovely 6 p.m. ceremony on Saturday, May 16, 2026, uniting Anastacia Gabrielle Flores and Hunter Lane Fontenot in holy matrimony with Father Stephen Pellesier officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Shelley Lynn Miller of Eunice and Gabriel Ismael Flores of Puerto Rico.
A graduate of St. Edmund Catholic High School in Eunice, she is currently employed as marketing director with Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte.
The groom is the son of Amy Fontenot and Jody “Weelo” Fontenot of Ville Platte. He is a graduate of Sacred Heart High School and is currently employed as a crop insurance adjuster.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a lovely ivory-colored jacqaurd gown featuring a beautiful drop waistline. The bride wore blue heels as her “something blue” and emerald-cut diamond earrings to match her wedding ring.
The all-white flowers added a special touch to the celebration.
Ashley West McGee of Chataignier served her long-time friend as matron of honor. She wore a custom pink gown.
Grant Lee of Ville Platte served the groom as best man for the evening ceremony.
A reception followed at Hotel Klaus in Washington. Their’s was the first wedding reception to be held at the venue.
Following a wedding trip to Seaside, Florida, the couple has made their home in Ville Platte.
