The engagement of Miss Erika Danyelle Fontenot, daughter of Eric and Terri Fontenot of Ville Platte, to Mr. Sidney Ryan Gabb, the son of Sidney Gabb, III, and Gina Gabb of Metairie, has been announced by their parents.
The couple will exchange wedding vows Friday, October 19, 2018, during a 6:30 p.m. ceremony mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church in New Orleans.
Miss Fontenot’s mother is the former Terri Andrus of Ville Platte. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Joy Andrus and the late Mr. Daniel Andrus and the late Mr. and Mrs. Bernel Fontenot, all of Ville Platte.
Miss Fontenot is a 2007 graduate of Sacred Heart High School and a 2012 graduate of the LSU School of Nursing. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and is currently employed as a registered nurse with Children’s Hospital in New Orleans.
Mr. Gabb’s mother is the former Gina Trapani of New Orleans. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Trapani and Mrs. Patricia Gabb and the late Mr. Sidney Gabb, Jr., all of New Orleans.
Mr. Gabb is a 2008 graduate of Brother Martin High School and a 2012 graduate of LSU. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and is currently employed as a civil engineer with Entergy in New Orleans.
The couple plans to make their home in Metairie.
