Mr. Ashford, Miss Buller united in Holy Matrimony

Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte provided the setting for a lovely 6:30 p.m. ceremony Saturday, June 22, 2019, uniting Miss Margeaux Emily Buller and Blake Vincent Ashford in Holy Matrimony, with Father Mitch Guidry, pastor of OLQAS, and Father Tom Voorhies, pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Ville Platte, officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mark and Connie Buller of Ville Platte. The groom is the son of Warren and Dawn Ashford of Central.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride was radiant in her ivory-colored, fit and flare A-line gown. The sleeveless column sheath featured sheer illusion adorned with scroll embroidered lace appliques. Accented with crystal beading, throughout, covered buttons cascaded through out the illusion back and chapel length train.
To complete the effect, the bride chose a cathedral length veil with scroll embroidered lace appliques.
The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of blue and ivory hydrangeas, white roses, blue larkspur, Queen Anne’s lace, fresh lavender, thistle, silver lace dusty miller and eucalyptus. The bouquet featured dusty blue silk ribbon fastened with a vintage blue and white cameo. An antique rosary of fresh water pearls was entwined into the bouquet.
Jennifer DeRouen, of Ville Platte; Lyndsey Hargrave, of New Orleans; and Lauren Sonnier, of Eunice served as matrons of honor for the special occasion.
They wore floor length gowns of slate blue tulle featuring a ruched sweetheart neckline covered with sheer illusion. They also carried hand tied bouquets of blue hydrangeas, white roses, blue larkspur, Queen Anne’s lace, fresh lavender, thistle, silver lace dusty miller and eucalyptus. Each bouquet was tied with matching slate blue tulle fastened with a vintage cameo (gifts from the bride).
Bridesmaids were Alex Colligan, of Baton Rouge; Kailey Soileau, of Houston; Rebecca Doucet, of Arnaudville; Emily Buller, of Ville Platte; Marie Miremont, of Central; and Anna Ashford, of Baton Rouge. They were attired identically to the matrons of honor.
Grant Venable, of Baton Rouge, served as best man for the evening ceremony.
Groomsmen were Micah Rispone, Cade Sevario, Austin Griggs, Tyler Duvall, Jacob Venable, Matthew Venable, Louis Miremont, all of Central; and Ryan Buller, of Ville Platte. They were attired in navy blue tuxedos featuring matching vest, and slate grey bow ties. Lapels were adorned with boutonnieres blue thistle, fresh lavender, silver lace dusty miller.
The flower girls were Magdalene Buller and Olivia Buller. The ring bearers were Ellis Sonnier, William DeLee, and John Allen Buller.
For her daughter’s special day, the bride’s mother was attired in a dusty blue floor length gown featuring embroidered illusion capped sleeve bodice accented with a crystal jeweled belt and chiffon skirt.
The groom’s mother chose wedgewood blue floor length gown featuring an off the shoulder bodice accented with crystal beading and matching lace overlay.
A reception followed at Wolff Ballroom in Washington. The hall was beautifully decorated with gilded mirrors and a backdrop of urns filled with towering magnolia branches with white and blue hydrangeas. Antique gold interlocking frames adorned with sprays of blue hydrangeas and garlands of eucalyptus and dusty miller were featured. Table centerpieces held fresh blue hydrangeas, white roses, blue larkspur, white delphinium blue thistle, and Queen Anne’s lace.
Following a wedding trip to Negril, Jamaica, the couple has made their home in Central.
