On the day New York Mayor Bill DeBlasio called for a national draft of retired doctors and medical workers to be rushed to New York City, Louisiana COVID-19 cases broke above 10,000 to 10,297 cases.

Coronavirus numbers were up again Wednesday in Louisiana by 1,187 additional cases over a 24-hour period. Louisiana Department of Health reports a moderation in the death rate, posting 34 more deaths when 54 Louisianans had died the day before.

BSEE Director to Head-up Interior Department Royalty Policy Committee

The Director of the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) Scott Angelle will now serve as the chairman of the Royalty Policy Committee (RPC). Appointed by U. S. Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke, Angelle had been serving as Acting Chairman.

Gov. employee accused of sexual harassment; resigns from position

Allegations of sexual harassment have been made against Governor John Bel Edwards’ Deputy Chief of Staff for Programming and Planning, Johnny Anderson. According to a spokesman for the governor’s office, Anderson resigned from his position on Wednesday, November 22, 2017.
