Community Fun Day and Co-Ed Softball Tourney set for July 10

The town of Basile along with local businesses, organizations, and community residents is sponsoring a family day on Saturday, July 10, at the town park. The day will include a Co-Ed Softball Tournament, fun jumps, face painting, other children’s activities, and concession sales with food and drinks.

The statistical outlay of Parish Most Valuable Player, Sacred Heart’s Gabe Fontenot, is impressive enough. In one of the tougher districts in Class 1A, Fontenot put up a .342 batting average with 23 RBIs.
