By: TONY MARKS Editor BASILE - After an hour-long weather delay, Basile did a better job of protecting the football and executing when it needed to in key moments of the game. As a result, the Bearcats ended a two-game losing streak with a 26-0 win over Oberlin on Halloween night.

Courville receives Player of the Week shirt

After his Basile team earned a 26-0 win over Oberlin on Halloween night, Jackson Courville was presented with a T-Shirt in recognition of being the Ville Platte Gazette’s Player of the Week in Week 2. That week he solidified the Bearcats’ win over Mamou with a 1-yard touchdown run.

Pierre Berzas (54), Scott Berzas (60), and Da’Shawn Randall (44) pave the way for the Basile offense against an Elton defender.
