When the preseason Coaches Poll was released, the LSU Tigers found themselves in the top 10.
LSU is ranked 9th in the poll. Three other SEC teams are ranked in the top 10.
Texas sits atop the rankings and is followed by Ohio State.

LAKE CHARLES – McNeese’s football stadium will have a new name.
The Cowboys’ football stadium known by fans as “The Hole” will now be referred to as Navarre Stadium.

VILLE PLATTE - The Ville Platte High School football program took strides to become more of a competitor on the field. However, a sudden change in the coaching staff caused the train to derail and threw a monkey wrench into the program’s plans for success.

The Mamou Super 10 All Stars slugged their way into the finals of the DYB North Regional Tournament in Oakdale before falling 5-4 against the Miley Cardinals in the championship game.
