Ware uses youthful spirit to lead her to success

By: TONY MARKS Editor PINE PRAIRIE - With only 300 soldiers, the ancient Spartan army withstood an assault from the Persian army led by King Xerxes at the Battle of Thermopylae. Kynnedi Ware, a freshman pitcher on the Pine Prairie softball team, also found success with a similar number.

Hebert uses playing experience to give her team a taste of glory

By: TONY MARKS Editor PINE PRAIRIE - There is no top-secret recipe to achieve success in life. It often takes a little bit of luck and a lot of lessons learned from past experiences. Coaching is no different. One local softball coach is discovering that in her own way.

By: TONY MARKS Editor David once killed the mighty giant Goliath with just a slingshot. A slingshot, though, was not enough for the Pine Prairie softball team to get past the Jena Lady Giants in the state softball semifinals as the Lady Panthers fell 3-2.
