For people of my generation, it has been a tough week or so. We lost Theo Huxtable, Ozzy Osbourne, Hulk Hogan, and Tommy McLain all within a couple of days.

McNeese unveils new stadium name in association with naming rights deal

By: RAYMOND PARTSCH III LSN Sports Reporter LAKE CHARLES – McNeese’s football stadium will have a new name. The Cowboys’ football stadium known by fans as “The Hole” will now be referred to as Navarre Stadium.

The Mamou Super 10 All Stars slugged their way into the finals of the DYB North Regional Tournament in Oakdale before falling 5-4 against the Miley Cardinals in the championship game.

By: TONY MARKS Editor Superman had his Kryptonite, Napoleon had his Waterloo, and, now, Mamou had its Miley. As the Mamou Super 10s were making their way through the DYB North Regional Tournament in Oakdale, the team went 4-2.

Season 3 of the St. John Summer Recreational Basketball League has started, and it is a free summer program to help the underprivileged youth get a chance to showcase their basketball skills and learn teamwork and collaboration.
