McNeese star quarterback passes away at 64

By: RAYMOND PARTSCH III LSN Sports Editor LAKE CHARLES -- The McNeese football family is in mourning. Former Cowboys standout quarterback Stephen Starring passed away last week at the age of 64. Starring was inducted into the McNeese Athletics Hall of Fame in 2000.

LSU athletics announces leadership change in football

LSU Athletics BATON ROUGE — LSU Athletics has made the decision to separate with football head coach Brian Kelly effective immediately, Director of Athletics Scott Woodward announced Sunday. Terms of the separation are still being negotiated.

By: TONY MARKS Editor VILLE PLATTE - On October 14, 2022, Sacred Heart earned a 30-17 win over St. Edmund in Eunice. A season later, the Blue Jays avenged the loss with a 21-14 win at Sacred Heart and followed it up with a 58-7 home win last season.
