By: RHETT MANUEL Sports Editor VILLE PLATTE — Four teams punched their tickets to the upcoming Dixie Youth t-ball state tournament in Tioga, scheduled for July 7-10, this past weekend in Ville Platte.
The Ville Platte 7U Coach Pitch All-Stars won the District 7 Tournament and will now compete in the state tournament at Tioga. In no particular order are Jacques Fontenot, Corbin Haller, Connor LaFleur, Owen Prudhomme, Hudson Deville, Khayden Serialle, Garic Addington, Owen Veillon, Patrick LaHaye, Daniel Rider, Max Miller, Kharter Serialle, and coaches. Body of missing LSU-E student-athlete found in Idaho

By: RHETT MANUEL Sports Editor The search for a missing student-athlete who played at LSU-Eunice ended tragically over the weekend. Everette Jackson, a 21-year-old sophomore basketball player at the university, was found dead on Sunday.
