Ville Platte Dixie Youth 8U All-Stars get win

LONGVILLE -- The Ville Platte Dixie Youth 8U All-Stars began district play on the right foot with a resounding 13-5 win over Pine Prairie in their first pool play game of the tournament Thursday afternoon.
The All-Stars were scheduled to return to pool play action on Friday and Saturday. Bracket play was scheduled to take place on Sunday.

In the Pine Prairie game, Ville Platte took a 5-3 lead after one inning of play and stretched that to a 9-3 lead after three innings.
The All-Stars finished the game on a 4-2 advantage in the last two innings.
