Sacred Heart awards athletes at annual ceremony

After an amazing year for Sacred Heart athletics, the Trojan sporting world honored its warriors in a ceremony a couple of weeks ago.
Sacred Heart teams all made strong appearances throughout the season, as the football, boy’s and girl’s basketball, baseball and softball teams found themselves in post-season play.
Along with those sports, cross-country, tennis, golf, fishing, power lifting, rodeo and track athletes from the “Land of Troy” gave tremendous performances throughout the year.
Here is a rundown of the award winners named at the athletic ceremony:
Football- Most Improved, Sam Gil; Hardest Worker, Gaige Thille; Coach’s Award, Jacob Castille.
Baseball- Most Improved, Alec Gotro; Hardest Worker, Wesley Launey; Coach’s Award, Jacob Launey.
Basketball (Boys)- Most Improved, Jack Lahaye; Hardest Worker, Sam Hollier; Coach’s Award, Gaige Thille.
Basketball (Girls)- Most Improved, Shani Fontenot; Hardest Worker, Dulcie Miller; Coach’s Award, Lauren Shipp.
Softball- Most Improved, Aubrey Foret; Hardest Worker, Karli Fontenot; Coach’s Award, Natalie LeBas.
Tennis (Boys)- Coach’s Award, Sam Gil and Vic Parks.
Tennis (Girls)- Coach’s Award, Karina Parks and Claudia Miller; Most Improved, Mary Dupre; Hardest Worker, Callie Pitre.
Golf- Most Improved, Jack Lahaye; Hardest Worker, Seth Lafleur; Coach’s Award, Spencer Thibodeaux.
Cross Country (Boys)- Hardest Worker, Dawson Buller; Most Improved, Dreu Fontenot; Coach’s Award, Lucas Kincannon.
Cross Country (Girls)- Hardest Worker, Brook Soileau; Most Improved, Sarah Lawson; Coach’s Award, Kathryn Bergeron.
