The 2018 season saw three of the four parish baseball teams find their way to the post-season, with two of those teams advancing on to the next round in their respective class/division.
Because of that success by the teams, several individual players were honored by being selected as all-district performers.
In District 5-1A, the Sacred Heart Trojans finished the year with an overall record of 22-9-1 and an appearance in the Division IV quarterfinals. The Trojans were fortunate enough to have four first team all-district selections and three second team nods.
Making the first team were catcher Garrett Fontenot, infielder Wesley Launey, and outfielders Alec Gotro and J.T. Harper.
Fontenot hit .425 on the season and drove in 37 RBI, scoring 15 times and holding a .580 on base percentage. Launey hit .400 on the year with 23 RBI and stole 18 bases.

The Pine Prairie Panthers received three first team all-district selections and three second team nominees, as they finished the season with an overall record of 19-13 and a District 5-3A record of 8-6. The Panthers defeated Westlake in the first round of the post-season, but fell to Sterlington in their regional playoff series.
