The week was not a total waste for the Lady Trojans. On Tuesday, Sacred Heart took to the road to battle the Ascension Episcopal Lady Gators.
The Lady Trojans took control from the start, jumping out to a 21-7 lead after three quarters to play, on their way to a 33-14 win. Sacred Heart finished the week with an overall record of 6-7 on the year.
Staying in girl’s basketball, the Ville Platte Lady Bulldogs improved their season record to 4-3 with a 38-32 win over the Crowley Ladies. Ville Platte trailed by one, 19-18, at the half, but rebounded with an 11-3 advantage in the third quarter to set the tone for the rest of the game.
