ORLANDO, FL -- This past Wednesday, the NBA officially kicked off the re-start to their season with four scrimmages.
The re-start plan, which includes the 16 teams (eight per conference) that were in playoff positions when the season was suspended and the six teams that are currently six games or fewer behind the eighth seed in their respective conferences, was approved by the NBA Board of Governors and the NBPA back in June.
In the plan, those designated teams will play three scrimmages over the span of seven days (July 22nd to July 29th) before re-starting the regular season on July 30th.
The 2019-20 season will conclude with a traditional playoff format with best-of-seven series in the first round, conference semifinals, conference finals and the NBA Finals following the completion of the regular season.
All games are being played at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando.
