Mamou, Pine Prairie, Ville Platte all secure softball wins

It was a banner last six days in the parish softball world, as three of the four schools sporting teams took home wins over that span.
For the Mamou Lady Demons, Friday was a display of grit and determination as they took an 11-8 win over the South Beauregard Lady Knights.
The Pine Prairie Lady Panthers disposed of three teams this weekend (Dequincy 7-0, Oberlin 6-2 and Kinder 3-1) in the Kinder tournament before slapping around Avoyelles Charter 11-1 on Monday.
Finally, the Ville Platte Lady Bulldogs took care of business on Monday with an 11-1 win over the Opelousas Lady Tigers.
Here is a re-cap of a few of those games played

Mamou vs.
South Beauregard
The game started as an offensive explosion with Mamou picking up five runs in their first at bat. The Lady Knights retaliated with three runs of their own to make it a two run game.
Mamou pulled farther ahead with a single runs in the second and fourth and two runs in the third. South Beauregard with three runs in the bottom of the third. But their comeback came up short in the bottom of the seventh with only two runs scored.
Mamou evened their record to 3-3 on the season with the win.

Pine Prairie vs.
Avoyelles Charter
It was all Pine Prairie from the start. The Lady Panthers notched three runs apiece in their first two at bats of the game.
In the top of the fourth, Pine Prairie unleashed some more offense, scoring five more runs to open up an 11-0 lead. The Lady Vikings’ only run came in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Pine Prairie improved to 8-1 on the year with the win.

Opelousas
vs. Ville Platte
The Ville Platte Lady Bulldogs did not waste anytime with Opelousas, scoring four runs in the first and three runs in the second. Ville Platte sealed the win in the later innings to improve their overall record to 2-0.
