LHSAA investigates possible violations

Reports surfaced Wednesday afternoon that the LHSAA has launched an investigation into four New Orleans area high schools not following the June 8th starting date for summer athletic activities.
Since that first report, six other schools have been added to that investigation, bringing the total to ten schools.
Earlier this month the LHSAA Executive Committee voted to move back the date that schools could begin their summer preparations. Violators that begin before June 8th face a litany of penalties, including suspensions and fines up to $2500.
LHSAA Executive Director Eddie Bonine told Crescent City Sports that evidence, including pictures and videos, had been collected on three of the four New Orleans schools involved. Information is still being gathered on the fourth New Orleans school and the other schools.
None of the schools have been named.
