Joe Burrow has agreed to be a Bengal for the next few years.
The former LSU quarterback and current Heisman Trophy winner has reportedly agreed a four-year $36.1 million contract, according to ESPN. The contract, when signed, would make him the highest paid rookie since the collective bargaining agreement in 2011. Kyler Murray signed a $35.2 million dollar deal with the Arizona Cardinals last season.
The contract would not be official until Burrow undergoes and passes a physical. Once that happens, Burrow is expected to receive a $23.88 million signing bonus.
The last LSU Tiger to sign a more lucrative deal was Jamarcus Russell, who inked with the Oakland Raiders in 2007.
Burrow, who broke almost every passing record in LSU Tiger history, finished the season with 402 completions, 5,671 passing yards, 60 passing touchdowns and a completion percentage of 68.5 percent
