VILLE PLATTE - Funeral services for Ms. Ethelene Marie D. Sylvester, 77, were held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Grand Prairie. Burial followed in the Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery. Father Mitch Guidry officiated the funeral Mass.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Agatha Getta Prejean was held on Monday, March 27, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Pineville with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 10:30 a.m. Reverend Dale Meade officiated, and Emma Prejean and Liz Prejean served as readers.

Services for Michael Kade Fontenot, 21, of Tyler, Texas, will be held on Friday, March 31, 2023. A Rosary will begin at 2 p.m. with Mass following at 2:30 p.m. at Our Lady, Queen of All Saints in Ville Platte with Fr. Mitchell Guidry officiating.

VILLE PLATTE - Jennie L. Nicholas, a lifelong resident of Ville Platte, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at the age of 92. Funeral services were held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Monday, March 27, 2023, at 11 a.m. Deacon Ben Soileau conducted the services.
