Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. today, April 27, 2023, at Disciples Baptist Church in Ville Platte for Mrs. Margie Robinson, 83, who entered eternal rest, Monday, April 24, 2023, at her residence in Denham Springs. Interment will be in St. Paul Baptist Church Cemetery in Ville Platte.

DIANNA GAIL DESHOTELS FORET

OPELOUSAS - Private services will be held for Dianna Foret, age 80, the former Dianna Gail Deshotels, who passed away Monday, April 24, 2023, at her residence in Opelousas surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Foret was a native of Ville Platte and was a lifelong resident of Opelousas.

EVELYN CAMPBELL GILBERT

In the early hours of April 5, 2023, Evelyn Campbell Gilbert passed away peacefully in her sleep at age 84 in Austin, Texas. She was a loving wife and mother of four children. A memorial service will be held on June 2, at Emmaus Catholic Church in Austin, Texas.

JOSEPH FELTON RICHARD

MAMOU - Joseph Felton Richard passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023, at the age of 79. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Ann Catholic Church in Mamou on Friday, April 28, 2023, at 2:30 p.m. Burial will follow at New St. Ann Cemetery in Mamou.

CHUCK PERRODIN

Charles “Chuck” George Perrodin, 71, of Springfield, passed away unexpectedly on Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023. While we are broken hearted, we find joy in knowing that Jesus has welcomed him into his loving arms.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held for Lena Fontenot at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Our Lady, Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte. It was followed by burial at the Gates of Heaven Cemetery. Father Mitch Guidry was the celebrant of the Mass.

AUDREY ARDOIN VERRETTE

A Mass of Christian Burial was held for Mary Audrey Ardoin Verrette at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at Our Lady, Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Entombment followed at the Sacred Heart Mausoleum. Visitation was held from 9:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.

JOANN VIDRINE MIXON

VILLE PLATTE - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Ville Platte today, April 13, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. for JoAnn Vidrine Mixon, who passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at the age of 75. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Mausoleum.

VILLE PLATTE - Funeral services for Lester Earl Soileau, 84, will be held at 11 a.m. today April 13, 2023, at Our Lady, Queen of All Saints Catholic Church with entombment to follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Father Mitch Guidry will officiate the funeral Mass.

VILLE PLATTE - Funeral services for Germaine Fontenot Janice, 81, were held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial followed in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Father Tom Voorhies officiated the funeral Mass.
