VILLE PLATTE - It is with great sadness that the family of Louella Fontenot Roberie announces the death of their mother and grandmother. She passed away at her home on June 17, 2024. Visitation began Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at 9 a.m. at LaVille Funeral Home. A Rosary was recited at 1:15 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m., on Monday, June 17, 2024, at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Opelousas, for Mr. Maurice Williams, 90, who entered eternal rest, Sunday, June 9, 2024, at Savoy Care Center in Mamou. Interment will be in Ninth Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, in Ville Platte.

DOROTHY ROSE KING “DOT” ARDOIN

VILLE PLATTE - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Dorothy Rose King “Dot” Ardoin. Born on December 19, 1953, in Lake Cove, she peacefully passed on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at her home surrounded by loved ones, at the age of 70.

Burke Allen Guillory, a beloved member of his community, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024, in Broussard. Burke was born on Thursday, August 25, 1938, in Vidrine, to Cyrus and Elise Beauregard Guillory and lived every minute of his 85 years to its fullest.

VILLE PLATTE - Shane Dupre, 56, of Ville Platte, passed at his residence on Sunday, May 26, 2024. Born on March 8, 1968, Shane was a beloved husband, father, son, and brother. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2024, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.

MALCOLM LIONEL MILLER

Malcolm Lionel Miller, born in 1929, passed away on May 17, 2024, at the age of 94. A proud World War II veteran, he served in the United State Army and was assigned in the Pacific Theater. As a veteran, he was awarded the World War II Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal.

VILLE PLATTE - Mattie Marie Demoruelle Buller, a dedicated educator who touched the lives of many through her passion for teaching, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024, in Ville Platte, at the age of 81. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, love, and exceptional talent.
