Heritage Manor of Ville Platte’s Duplechin recognized as Resident Activity Director of the Year by LNHA

NEW ORLEANS - The Louisiana Nursing Home Association (LNHA) is proud to honor several outstanding individuals who set the standard for excellence in long-term care throughout the state. Each year at the LNHA Convention and Trade Show in New Orleans, the LNHA Awards Luncheon recognizes several exceptional individuals for their dedication to providing high-quality care and fostering meaningful connections with their residents.
“This year’s honorees represent the very best of our profession - individuals who go above and beyond every day in ways that truly inspire,” said Mark Berger, executive director of LNHA. “Their dedication, compassion and excellence reflect the spirit of the nursing facility profession and the values that define our mission.”
“The true measure of quality care is reflected in how we treat those we serve,” said LNHA Board President Teddy Price. “This year’s recipients demonstrate an unwavering commitment to continuous improvement and a heartfelt devotion to caring for each resident as if they were family.”
Among the 2025 winners honored at the event held November 3-5, was long-time Heritage Manor Resident Activity Director Patricia Duplechin, who was named Resident Activity Director of the Year. Heritage Manor congratulated her saying, “For 26 years, Mrs. Pat has brought joy, creativity and purpose to our community - whether it’s through quiet indoor activities that keep the mind sharp or exciting outings that lift the spirit. Her commitment to keeping residents active, engaged and connected shines every single day. She has also served as LNHA Regional President of Activity Directors since 2010 and LNHA State President since 2020. She continues to lead in both roles while also serving as vice president of the Ville Platte Rotary Club and as a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Her dedication to our facility and our residents extends far beyond our walls. We are so proud of you, Ms. Pat. Thank you for your passion, your leadership and your unwavering commitment to the residents of Heritage Manor of Ville Platte.”
Of the honor, Duplechin, shared, “I was completely shocked and humbled by the award. Everything I do I learned from my mentor and predecessor Mrs. June LeDoux.”
