The full Evangeline Parish School Board approved a modified school calendar with staggered five-day weeks. Full coverage will be in the Sunday, June 18, edition of the Ville Platte Gazette.

With a 3-1 vote, the EPSB executive committee voted to start the school year with a five-day schedule for the first nine weeks. After the first nine weeks, the schedule will shift to four days.
