Audit reveals findings in sheriff’s office

Following a recent audit of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office, nine findings were revealed with two of them being repeated from previous years. The following is a rundown of the findings.

Voices are heard over sheriff’s 911 proposal

Seventy-two thousand three hundred eighty-four. That figure was repeated frequently by Liz Hill, director of Evangeline Parish 911 and Office of Emergency Preparedness, during a public hearing held Tuesday, November 9.

VP council introduces 911/OEP resolution

At their November 9 meeting, the Ville Platte City Council introduced a resolution concerning Sheriff Charles Guillory’s plan to take over 911 services for the parish.
