The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported the following recent bookings into the parish jail. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Arrested were the following persons:

GRAND PRAIRIE - With profound sadness, we announce the passing of David Mark Briley, 66, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, on Sunday, April 7, 2024, in Toledo Bend.

VILLE PLATTE - It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Mr. Hillery J. Hill, of Ville Platte, on April 6, 2024, at the age of 87.

Dustin Joshua “Poose” Fontenot, a compassionate and hardworking machinist and painter, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024, in Bayou Chicot, at the age of 43.
