Turkey Creek ends year 8.7 percent over budget

By: TONY MARKS Editor The Village of Turkey Creek will end this current fiscal year 8.7 percent over budget. As Mayor Phillip Cavins explained, during the council meeting on Tuesday, May 17, that amount over budget is partly due to the police department’s expenses being 27% over what was budgeted.

Chief Lartigue reports arrest for multiple charges including attempted second degree murder. On May 16, 2022 at approximately 4:30 p.m. Officers with the Ville Platte Police Department were dispatched to the 1200 block of Martin Luther King Street in reference to an injured male subject.
