Tri-Parish workforce down 0.4%

The Tri-Parish workforce in March was down by 308 people or 0.4% from March 2022, according to data released by the Louisiana Workforce Commission.
Unemployment rates were down or the same as a year ago in March.
The Tri-Parish workforce totaled 68,272, down from 68,580.

Kerry Paul Fontenot, known by many as "KP," is 64 years old. He was born and raised in Ville Platte. Eventually, he would marry Peggy Fontenot from Bayou Chicot, and they would go on to raise their family in Pine Prairie.
