Pay raises are discussed for chief, clerk

By: TONY MARKS Editor The Chataignier Village Council, during its meeting on Monday, June 17, agreed to introduce an ordinance to increase the chief of police salary by $200 a month and an ordinance to increase the village clerk salary by $100 a month.

The Ville Platte Police is asking for the community’s help in locating Keabreonna Doucet, who was last seen June 15, 2024, when she left her home on W. Live Oak Street in Ville Platte at 9:00 a.m. She was supposed to bring her daughter to a basketball game at 10:00 a.m.
