Sewer rate increases are introduced in Chataignier; public meeting is set

By: TONY MARKS Editor CHATAIGNIER - To help offset the ever rising costs associated with the village’s sewer system, the Chataignier Village Council voted to introduce an ordinance that would increase the sewer rates based on how many gallons each customer consumes.

BATON ROUGE – Louisiana State Treasurer John Fleming, M.D., announced that approximately 143,000 unclaimed property checks totaling over $34 million will be mailed out on Friday May 30 following a data match to update addresses with the Louisiana Department of Revenue.
