The Louisiana Supreme Court denied a writ application from Ville Platte Chief of Police Neal Lartigue. A lower court had disqualified Chief Lartigue as a candidate in the November election.

VILLE PLATTE – Graveside services at Evangeline Memorial Park will be held at a later date for AL Landreneau, 80, who passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022.
Mary Ella Fontenot Aucoin, of Mandeville, passed away on August 8, 2022, at the age of 82. She was a native of Belaire Cove.
