Benefit is to be held for Swamp Pop star Roy Chaffin

Swamp Pop star Roy Chaffin, of Pine Prairie, has been diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. A BBQ benefit will be held to help cover the cost of medical expenses. The event will be held on Saturday, August 23, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
