Turkey Creek police make additional narcotic related arrests

Officers with the Turkey Creek Police Department are continuing to making arrests related to narcotic charges. The following is a rundown of three recent incidents:

Dylan Campbell

On Saturday, October 31, officers were performing stationary patrol at the intersection of Red Roberts and Cemetery Road and observed a red in color Ford pickup truck fail to make a complete stop at the posted stop sign. A traffic stop was conducted and contact was made with the driver, Peyton Campbell, and his passenger Dylan Campbell.
Officers observed the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle while approaching the passenger. During the field interview, the passenger produced a wooden container and stated there was marijuana inside in violation of possession of Schedule 1 CDS and possession of drug paraphernalia. Dylan Campbell was advised of his rights per Miranda and placed under arrest for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a CDS in a drugfree zone. The driver, Peyton Campbell, was issued a citation for traffic violations and released. A warrant for the arrest of Dylan Campbell was issued by the Honorable 13th Judicial District Judge Chuck West, with a $2,500 bond.

Tori Erwin

Turkey Creek
On Sunday, November 1, at 9:06 p.m., officers executed several arrest warrants for Tori Erwin, at a residence in Turkey Creek.
During the apprehension, a female officer with Turkey Creek Police Department conducted a search incident to arrest and discovered marijuana concealed in the undergarments of Erwin. Erwin was then transported to the Evangeline Parish Jail and booked on her outstanding warrants.
A warrant for the arrest of Tori Erwin was issued by the Honorable 13th Judicial District Judge Gary Ortego for the above violations with a bond of $9,000.

Nicholas Paul Carter

On Tuesday, November 3, officers observed a vehicle fail to make a complete stop at the intersection of Cemetery Road and La Hwy 13.
Officers conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Nicholas Paul Carter. During the field interview, Carter advised the officer he was driving with a suspended license, and it was learned the vehicle was not insured. Officers also observed the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Prior to towing the vehicle, an inventory was conducted where officers located burned rolled cigarettes containing marijuana, rolling papers, and a digital scale
Carter was issued a citation for the traffic violations, and a warrant for the arrest of Nicholas Paul Carter was issued by the Honorable 13th Judicial District Judge Gary Ortego for the above violations and a bond of $8,500 was set.
