Police arrest one following shooting on East Wilson

Chief Neal Lartigue confirmed to a news source that one subject has been killed and another is injured as a result of a shooting that occurred on East Wilson Street in Ville Platte.

There was an active shooter at a residence located on East Wilson Street in Ville Platte.
According to Police Chief Neal Lartigue one subject was shot as well as a police unit.
The suspect in this matter has not be identified but he is in custody.
Responding to this matter were the Ville Platte Police Department, Louisiana State Police, Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office, Pine Prairie Police Department, Chataignier Police Department and Acadian Ambulance.
