Allegiance Health Management (AHM) appointed Kristopher Aguillard as the new CEO for Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte. Shreveport-based Allegiance Health Management, is a system of 16 hospitals in Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi and Arkansas. Its facilities offer a range of inpatient acute medical services and outpatient services as well as post-acute care and behavioral health services.
Aguillard served as chief operations officer (COO) and led Mercy Medical Center through the management transition in the recent split from Acadian Medical Center. He spent the last 10 years working in a number of management positions including Lab Director between the two campuses. Since Allegiance’s purchase of the hospital two years ago, Aguillard joined the AIT, Allegiance Manager in Training Program in preparation of his new role.
“Kris has shown a strong commitment to success as the COO, I’m certain this commitment to excellence will follow in his new CEO role at Mercy. Rock (Rock Bordelon, CEO) and I are excited about the hospital’s future which includes plans to renovate patient rooms and enhance employee benefits,” stated Don Cameron, AHM Chief Operating Officer.
Kris transitioned into his new role September 3, where he replaced former CEO, Calvin Green, who retired last month. “I am very happy to serve the community where I grew up and where I have chosen to raise my family. My vision is to be, the premiere hospital where employees want to work and where patients want to receive healthcare” stated Kris Aguillard, CEO. He has a masters degree in healthcare administration from Louisiana State University in Shreveport.
