On the late hours of September 18, 2026, and in the early morning hours of September 19, 2026 inmates were observed going into one dorm restroom. They appeared to be exiting in a manner of being drunk and stumbling while they walked. The Deputies immediately phoned the Warden and advised of the suspicious activity. They entered the dormitory to find the smell of burnt paper permeated through the dorm.
Deputies found pieces of Bible paper rolled into a cigarette what appeared to be soaked with cleaning chemicals and other substances. Using two batteries, a magnet, and a metal plate, and staple they managed to light the Bible paper, and then smoked them.
Arrested inmates were: Tyrel Guillory, Robert Gallow, Atravion Charles, Templeton Guillory, Skaundrey Herbert, Derrick Holcomb, Haiden King, Kochanski Ardoin, Kamryn McClay, DeQuandre Soileau, and Mario Wilson.
ALL INMATES WERE CHARGED FOR:
1 COUNT OF 14:402.B (1) - POSSESSION OF CONTRABAND IN A PENAL FACILITY -- (FELONY)
1 COUNT OF 14:204.1.A (1) -FIRE RAISING IN A CORRECTIONAL FACILITY -- (FELONY)
1 COUNT OF 14:204.1.B (1) - FIRE RAISING IN A CORRECTIONAL FACILITY -- (FELONY)
1 COUNT OF 40:966.2 -- PENALTY FOR DISTRIBUTION OR POSSESSION; SYNTHETIC CANNABINOIDS -- (FELONY)
This is still and active ongoing investigation.
