On Friday, September 11, Ardoin’s Funeral Home continued its annual tradition of preparing and providing barbecue meals for to honor and show appreciation for the local emergency responders from the fire department, sheriff’s office, police department, EMTs, and 911 dispatchers. The staff of Ardoin’s reflected, “On this day, we remember the lives lost and the sacrifices made on September 11, 2001, while also reflecting on what a treasure it is to live in this great country. We are grateful for the brave men and women who continue to serve and protect our communities every day.” Pictured on the left is a firetruck from the VPFD as it raises an American Flag over town.
