An officer with the Ville Platte Police Department alleges actions of abuse committed by Chief of Police Al Perry Thomas.
According to a report obtained by the Ville Platte Gazette, the alleged incidents began on November 24, 2024, when the chief and the officer in question were dispatched to a fight in progress at a residence on the 700 block of N. Dupre Street.
