Fugitive is arrested

On July 29, narcotic agents with Evangeline Parish Sheriff Office received information that a wanted fugitive was at a residence on the 500 block of East Street in Mamou. A search warrant was also executed.

Trespasser is charged with attempted murder

By: TONY MARKS Editor An accused trespasser is in custody in St. Landry Parish after being charged with attempted second degree murder. According to reports, Lawrance Edward Karm Jr., 45, of Mamou, was arrested on Sunday, September 13, after allegedly pulling a gun on property owners.
