By: DR. BRIAN DORE’ Member of the Ville Platte Ministerial Alliance We don’t have any strength in ourselves; the strength we have as Christians is in our faith. We enter the Christian life by placing our faith in Christ, and this opens the door to God’s act of grace.

Heritage Manor honors grandparents of the year

Alvin Soileau (top photo) and Hattie Pouncey (bottom photo) were chosen as Grandparents of the Year for Grandparents Day at Heritage Manor. Soileau has two sons, three grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He is 101 years old, a WWII veteran of the U.S.
