Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Ville Platte provided the setting for a lovely 6:30 p.m. ceremony on Saturday, September 24, 2022, uniting Miss Ainsley Nicole Veillon and Mr. Nicholas Troy Lejeune in holy matrimony with Father Mitchell Guidry officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Michael II and Shea Veillon of Ville Platte. The groom is the son of Tina and Thomas Fontenot of Ville Platte and the late Troy Lejeune.
The church was beautifully decorated with pew clips of greenery, baby’s breath and ivory ribbon. The doors were adorned with Eucalyptus wreaths accented with willow leaves matched with white berries and ivory satin ribbon.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride was radiant in her ivory long sleeve, sheath-style gown accented with a v-neckline and a beautiful floral lace throughout the bodice and sleeves. The gown’s fitted long sleeves, were delicately beaded with crepe covered buttons completing the detailed sleeves. The bottom of the dress was made of a lightweight crepe fabric that flowed into an elegant lace train with scalloped edges and light sequins. The low open back was accented with lace trim and more delicate beadwork and finished with crepe covered buttons. The graceful gown was accompanied by a scalloped edge, mid-length veil with matching floral applique and sequins that cascaded tastefully with the exquisite gown. To complement her gown, the bride wore a Marcella headpiece of silver-tone gem clusters sprinkled with mini crystals. She also wore a set of Hudson hair pins with sprinkled crystals. She completed her look with an Essie pendant of crystals on a delicate silver tone chain with a set of floral gems and glass crystals flora drop earrings.
The bride carried a bouquet of quicksand, playa blanca and cappuccino spray roses, terra cotta carnations, baby’s breath, bunny tails, bleached ruscus, pampas grass and gunni eucalyptus. The stems wrapped with ivory satin ribbon. Entwined into her bouquet was a pendant belonging to the bride’s late grandfather, Michael Veillon, and a rosary.
Lauren Vallet of Ville Platte, best friend of the bride since childhood, served as maid of honor for the special occasion. She wore a floor-length, satin Blair gown of cinnamon rose, featuring a v-neckline. She wore gold leaf drop chandelier earrings (a gift from the bride) and carried a simpler version of the bridal bouquet.

For her daughter’s special day, the bride’s mother selected an elegant, floor-length navy gown featuring a slim-flare silhouette with a square neckline, square back and puff three-quarter sleeves. Nipped with a slender waistband and crafted with mid-open back and buttons closure, the sheath skirt flowed into a sweep of train.
