By: TONY MARKS Editor PLAINVIEW – Struggles continue for the Pine Prairie basketball teams as the Lady Panthers fell to 1-9 after a 69-11 loss to Plainview and the Panthers fell to 0-7 after a 67-19 loss also to Plainview.

By: TONY MARKS Editor BASILE - All roads led to the home of the Bearcats as high school hoops teams converged for the parish tournament which got underway on Wednesday, November 29. Both teams from Ville Platte High School drew a bye in and did not compete until the second day of tournament play.

Turkey time in Troy

By: RHETT MANUEL Sports Editor VILLE PLATTE – Through the first two days of the girl’s bracket of Sacred Heart’s annual Turkey Tournament, one thing was obvious. The Lady Trojans are for real. Using an up-tempo system, the Lady Trojans racked up two wins in two days against local opponents.

SH hoops begins seasons with wins against Northside Christian

By: TONY MARKS Editor CROWLEY - The basketball seasons at Sacred Heart began on Tuesday, November 14, as the Lady Trojans defeated Northside Christian 77-10 and the Trojans won 72-61. Kali Shiver led her Lady Trojans with 22 points. Alyssa Brignac added 13 points, and Breanne Ardoin added 10 points.
