Sacred Heart gets back on the winning side of the ledger

By: TONY MARKS Editor After losing back-to-back district games to Opelousas Catholic and Westminster Christian Academy, the Sacred Heart squad returned to its winning ways with a 55-6 home victory over Bolton Academy. With the win, the Trojans improved to 4-2 on the season.

Trojans give up 21 second half points in loss to Crusaders

By: TONY MARKS Editor VILLE PLATTE - Twenty-four points in the first half were not enough for a win as Sacred Heart allowed 21 unanswered points in the second half to Westminster as the Crusaders wound their way to a 31-24 win.

Raiders skunk Panthers on Thursday night

By: TONY MARKS Editor PINE PRAIRIE - Things went south by southwest quickly for Pine Prairie as the Panthers dropped a district game at home to Northwest, 54-7, on Thursday night. Northwest shot out to a 21-0 lead with just under 5:00 remaining in the first quarter.

By: SYLIS MANUEL Staff Reporter The Church Point Bears staved off a second half surge from the Mamou Green Demons, pulling out a 42-26 victory in a back and forth thriller that was closer than the score suggested. Church Point improved to 3-1 on the season and 1-0 in divisional play.
