By: TONY MARKS Editor Last Thursday night, when the 2005 team returned to commemorate the state championship, the Pine Prairie softball team improved its record to 22-2 with a 12-3 win over Buckeye.

By: TONY MARKS Editor A week ago, today, the Mamou baseball team hosted Pine Prairie in a game with implications on the line for the district title. The Panthers entered the game at 10-5 overall and 3-1 in district, while the Green Demons were 11-7 and 2-1.

Two decades after capturing the Class 2A state championship, members of the 2005 Pine Prairie softball team returned for a pre-game celebration on Thursday, April 3, before the current team’s game against Buckeye. Highlighting the ceremony was Carolyn Deville throwing out the ceremonial first pitch.

By: TONY MARKS Editor Improving to 20-2 on the season were the Pine Prairie Lady Panthers after a 6-0 win over Crowley. Kynnedi Ware added to her strikeout total with 14 punch outs in six innings of work. She also allowed one hit and one walk.
