Lafayette hands Mamou its first loss of season

By: TONY MARKS Editor For the first time this season, the Mamou football team was on the losing side of the ledger as the Green Demons fell 49-6 to Lafayette. The Lions outgained Mamou 475 yards to 230 yards. Of Mamou’s yards, 90 came through the air and the other 140 came on the ground.

By: TONY MARKS Editor VILLE PLATTE - The visiting Tigers of Lafayette Renaissance Charter Academy held Ville Platte High to a goose egg on the scoreboard as the Bulldogs lost 55-0. With the loss, Ville Platte fell to 0-3 on the season.

By: DARREL LEJEUNE LSN Editor MAMOU – The Mamou Green Demons pulled off a dramatic finish against the Basile Bearcats on Friday night, September 12, scoring with just one second left on the clock to claim a 30-24 victory in a non-district contest at Mamou High School.

By: TONY MARKS Editor CROWLEY - With injuries to members of its running back corps, the Ville Platte High football team was forced to become one-dimensional and lean on the arm of its quarterback Zion Thomas in a 42-7 loss to Notre Dame. Thomas completed seven of his 14 passes for 154 yards.
