VILLE PLATTE - A new season of sorts began on Friday, January 23, as the Ville Platte girls’ basketball team hosted the Pine Prairie Lady Panthers in the district opener for both teams.
For most of the first half, Pine Prairie shifted the paradigm and held a lead over Ville Platte, but the Lady Bulldogs went on a third quarter run on their way to a 69-59 win.
