The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported the following recent bookings into the parish jail. Arrested were the following persons: • Devin Cole Carrier, 26, Bunkie, was arrested July 7, 2022, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for aggravated flight from an officer.

THE EVANGELINE PARISH SHERIFF’S OFFICE NEEDS HELP IN SOLVING AN ARMED ROBBERY

On Sunday July 10, 2022, at approximately 2130 hours, the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division responded to an Armed Robbery in progress located at the Dollar General Store on the 1700 Blk. of the Chataignier Rd. just outside of Ville Platte.

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported the following recent bookings into the parish jail. Arrested were the following persons: • Bridget Cloud, 51, Ville Platte, was arrested July 5, 2022, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for obscenity. Cloud was released on no bond.

Suspects are apprehended for 4-wheeler theft

Mamou Police was notified of a 4 wheeler theft that occurred in the early hours of June 22, 2022. After the initial officer answered the complaint, Chief Zackery, Assistant Chief Mitchell and Captain Benoit was notified of the theft and began an investigation.

Residential burglary is investigated in Mamou

On June 23, 2022 Mamou Police were contacted about a residential burglary on the 600 block of 5th Street. Officers responded and started their initial investigation. Captain Benoit was then notified and assigned the case where he further investigated the incident.

Ville Platte burglaries are investigated

Chief Neal Lartigue is asking for assistance in identifying suspects involved in a business burglary. On June 29, 2022 at approximately midnight Officers responded to the 1200 block of Tate Cove Road for a business alarm activation.

Twenty-five grams of fentanyl and other narcotics lead to arrests

Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office releases the following: On the 24 th of June 2022 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Departments Narcotic unit, executed a search warrant on residence located at 617 East Jackson Street in Ville Platte.
