The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported the following recent bookings into the parish jail. Arrested were the following persons: • Branashia Alfred, 19, Ville Platte, was arrested November 22, 2022, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for simple battery.

Escaped inmate is captured

The escaped inmate was recaptured at 11:40pm on the 25th of November 2022 without incident and is back in jail.

Escaped inmate is wanted

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff Department is currently seeking the whereabouts of an escaped inmate. On the 25 of November 2022 an Correction Deputy was returning to the jail with a inmate, when the inmate took off running and escaped.

Lee is arrested for sexual battery and indecent behavior with a juvenile

On May 9, 2022, the mother of a juvenile victim reported that the suspect (Bobby James Lee of Ville Platte) sexually assaulted her six year old daughter on multiple occasions.

Turkey Creek Police report list recent arrests

From September 29th to November 20th, 2022, the following incidents took place in the jurisdiction of the Village of Turkey Creek. On September 29th, one stolen AR-15 was recovered and returned to the investigating agency. On October 8th, while officers were patrolling Saddler St.

LaHaye is arrested for narcotics and firearms

Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office releases the following: On the 18 th of November 2022 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff Departments Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant on a residence on Tiger Lane. The Agents entered the residence and no one was home.
